Changing lives through sport
Decathlon Foundation
The Decathlon Foundation was created in 2005 with one aim: to make the benefits of sport accessible to people in vulnerable situations. In all the projects we support, our team-mates get involved locally and sustainably alongside associations, to share their passion for sport. As Decathletes, it's our responsibility to act in solidarity and promote sport for all.
Move people in vulnerability through the wonders of sport
We are convinced that sport can change lives.
When combined with education and social support, sport can have a transformative impact on people at risk.
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our three priorities for the coming years focus on the inclusion of young people, the empowerment of girls and women, and the health of people in vulnerable situations. *
*Of course, we continue to support all types of vulnerable populations, ensuring that our initiatives remain inclusive and adapted to the needs of each individual.
Young people at risk
Acting for the inclusion of children and young people living in vulnerable areas :
Sport is a powerful lever of social integration for young people. Through field projects, we support children and young people in vulnerable situations so that they can participate regularly in physical activities, helping them to develop essential life skills, gain confidence and improve their well-being, while promoting social cohesion and inclusion.

Girls and women at risk
Empowering girls and women in fragile situations :
Sport is recognized for its emancipatory power. Through our field projects, we support women who are confronted with issues of violence, poverty and sexism, so that they can take part in regular physical activities. The aim: to develop their leadership skills , gain confidence and defend their rights. By creating a favorable environment, this initiative aims to improve their social and economic status and promote gender equality.
