Move your roommate

Sport as an engine for reconstruction
Many of Lazare's housemates have experienced wandering, break-ups and loss of confidence. Resuming physical activity is often much more than a question of fitness: it's a way of getting back into motion, both literally and figuratively.
With the support of the Decathlon Foundation, the "Bouge ta coloc" project was born to put sport back at the heart of home life. The aim is to make sport a lever for well-being, cohesion and remobilization.
Thanks to the Foundation, the maisons Lazare have been able to equip themselves with everything they need to practice in teams or on their own:
-
Team sports equipment (table soccer, spikeball, volleyball, darts, etc.)
-
8 bicycles, helmets and locks for outings and soft mobility
-
Mats, bricks and yoga ropes for female housemates
-
Weights, benches and pull-up bars for the renfo-motivated
Every month, Decathlon employees organize sporting and social events with their housemates: bike outings, tournaments, Olympics, snacks and friendship dinners. A way of strengthening ties and opening up new perspectives.
Three employees behind a great idea
Behind this project are three stories: Marie, Pierre-Yves and Alexandra.
They all have a personal link with shared accommodation.
"I shared a flat with street people during the confinement period. That adventure changed me. Joining Lazare today is a way of continuing to act for a more fraternal world."
- Marie, Project Manager at Decathlon
"As Lazare's former roommate, I know how much we missed the sport. Today, I want it to become a strength for others."
- Pierre-Yves
A shared conviction: sport can be a springboard for encounters.

A collective momentum
The "Bouge ta coloc" project first came to life in two houses: one in Vaumoise, and the other in Lille, located in Marcq-en-Barœul.
These initial experiences served as the starting point for a dynamic that will spread throughout the Lazare network, present in over a dozen cities in France: from Nantes to Toulouse, via Lyon, Marseille, Angers, Valence and Paris, and now internationally, with houses in Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and Mexico.

These regular meetings recreate the rhythm and bearings of daily life, while strengthening cohesion within the shared accommodation. In partnership with volunteer physiotherapists, La Cravate Solidaire and other local players, the initiative seeks to link sport, health and social support.
