8 projects led by our teams in France were validated on March 29 at the Tribord Sailing Lab in La Rochelle!
Once again, our team-mates have demonstrated their exceptional commitment to the various associations they support, with the same objective in mind: to make the pleasure and benefits of sports accessible to as many people as possible.
The De'Chabotte project in video
- The "De'Chabotte" project, by teams from the Montélimar store and the Association Sport dans la Ville, which aims to enable over 1,000 young people a year from disadvantaged neighborhoods to come together in a vacation and training center unique in France, to give them access to the pleasures and well-being of nature sports.
Focus on other projects
- The "Dec'Adapt" project run by 3 team-mates from the La Couronne store, in partnership with ADAPEI Charente. It aims to make physical and motor activities more accessible to all, and as close as possible to each individual, through the purchase of a multisport vehicle used every week to bring adapted tools to the association's 1,300 beneficiaries throughout the department.
- The "Bus Itinérant Sport Santé (BISS)" project run by the Rennes team and the Association Breizh Insertion Sport, to encourage regular physical activity and sports and promote the adoption of a balanced diet, via the purchase of a roving bus going directly to meetyoung people from the Priority Neighborhoods of the City of Rennes.
- The "Mon bonnet rose" project by the Saint-Martin-Boulogne and Calais stores to create La Maison Mer in Wissant. The aim? To help women resume appropriate physical activity during and after breast cancer treatment, in the region with the highest excess mortality rate from this disease(27% in Nord and 33% in Pas de Calais).
- The "Tous à l'eau!" project by our Nabaiji and Olaian brands, located at the Water Sport Center in Hendaye, and the Hôpital Marin. It aims to facilitate access to water sports for the hospital's disabled patients, in order toimprove their mental and physical well-being.
- The "Centre Socio-Sportif" project by our Decathlon Nîmes teams and UFOLEP, to create a center to welcome young people in socially vulnerable situations. The aim of the center will be to offer them sports, training and inclusive activities.
- Last but not least, the "Voilier solidaire" project in La Rochelle, led by the Tribord teams and the Ocean Peak and Utopie Iodée associations, to renovate a shared boat listed as a historical monument, available for use by all associations implementing social, environmental and solidarity actions, and using the sport of sailing as a support.
The Foundation team would once again like to thank Guillaume Cutuli, Director of the Sailing Lab, and Guénolé Havard, Tribord Brand Leader, for welcoming us to their magnificent premises and for sharing their meaningful project!
