4 impact projects were supported at our last Board meeting on May 24.
Find out more below:
- The "CHU de Nice" project carried out by the Decathlon Nice Lagostière and CHU teams. This project aims to improve conditions for patients in the psychiatric ward. The Foundation's financial support will enable us to refurbish the closed wards where patients are hospitalized under restraint, to offer them soothing, convivial spaces, and to develop physical, sporting and leisure activities;
- A second project in Nice, this time supported by Decathlon Nice TNL teams: the "Des quartiers au sommet" project. The aim is tomake the mountain world accessible to schoolchildren from disadvantaged neighborhoods, and to raise their awareness of the fragility but also the richness of this environment. The project also aims to develop their life skills and know-how, to increase their employability and open up new prospects for them;
- The "Pauses SportivesThe "Pauses Sportives" project was launched by the Btwin Village teams in Lille and the Jardin de Cocagne in Villeneuve d'Ascq, managed by ALEFPA. The aim of the project is to set up sports activities to promote the inclusion of socially vulnerable people working in market gardening, and to improve their mobility through the purchase of bicycles;
- The "Spike and Serve" project by our teams in the Philippines, to give young people living in extreme poverty access to sport (volleyball and martial arts) and long-term support for their inclusion, through the purchase of equipment and the training of coaches.
We would also like to thank theSOLFA Association and the students from the IAE de Lille, who came to present their project, the winner of our call for student projects. "Toutes à l'abri" enables thepurchase of sports equipment for the residents of the "l'abri" emergency shelter, making it possible for women victims of violence and their children to practice sport.
The Foundation's team and all the members of the Board would like to thank the various associations and the many team members who work in the field to support beneficiaries in vulnerable situations.
